KAWASAKI DISEASE AWARENESS DAY

This page is dedicated to the families of those who have lost the battle with KD

While most children with Kawasaki Disease make a full recovery, there are those that were misdiagnosed, diagnosed too late, or not strong enough to fight off the illness.  Some live long lives, yet battle consequences from the illness their entire life, while others ultimately lose the battle.

It is our goal to make everyone aware of the dangers this illness holds.  The reason may vary as to why each of these children lost their lives to Kawasaki Disease, but the common thread is that they all did.  Please take a moment to send up a prayer on the behalf of these children and their families, that the cause of KD can be found, and that it will become so well known that treatment can begin sooner for children everywhere!  God Bless!

Luke

He was never diagnosed with Kawasaki and died on 12/04/04 at just 14 weeks. The autopsy revealed that he had Kawasaki and a one inch thick aneurysm.

His mom wrote "He is the love of our life and our sweet angel who we will be reunited with in Heaven!"

Our prayers are with the Roscoe family who lost their son Paul on May 13, 2008 to Kawasaki Disease
